In Heaven’s Eyes

In Heaven’s eyes, God’s eyes, what does He see when He looks upon His creation? Looking with my eyes, I see what is physically before me. I see a world in chaos, a world full of hate, deceit, and, at best, the epitome of selfishness. Sometimes, I see a glimmer of love and hope, but it is not the majority. It is enough to cause a person to feel defeated and depressed. However, when I look at God and His Word, I am reminded of how He sees things. God sees everything and everyone all at the same time. Nothing is beyond Him. When He looks at us, He not only sees our outward appearance. He sees the heart and mind within us. He sees our motives and our desires. He sees the beginning and the end while gazing upon the present. He sees our potential to share His love. Our potential to win others to Him and snatch them from the pits of Hell. He sees us as the His creation, created to love and be loved. He sees us as the one for whom He sacrificed His Son. In His eyes, we are loved beyond our wildest dreams. Hebrews 13:8 teaches us that He never changes. Heaven’s eyes love, and their ways are always perfect.

Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

I Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Heaven’s eyes saw me before anyone knew I existed. In Psalms 139:16, He saw my substance, and every cell that came together to form me was known to Him. He loved me first before my mother or father knew I existed. He knew every sin I would commit that would violate His holiness, yet He loved me.

Psalm 139:16 “Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

In Heaven’s eyes, I am valuable. I may be the poorest of the poor or the richest of the rich. I may have no formal education or have degrees with the highest honors. I may be talented in many areas or simple-minded with no accolades to my name. I may be known by multitudes or not acknowledged by anyone. All that God sees is His creation, which He chose to allow to come into being. This makes me as valuable to Him as anyone else. This value is shown by what He was willing to pay for me to spend eternity with Him. The cost to Him was the life of His Son. He is no respecter of persons. Each of us is seen as individuals that He loves and deems as worth the sacrifice He made.

Acts 10:34-35 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

In Heaven’s eyes, I am someone special, and so are you. If you don’t see yourself as valuable, you need to get to know the one who values you so much that He gave His life for you. Jesus gave His life, and God sent Him to be the bridge between us and Him.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

However, in Heaven’s eyes, we have a choice. A choice to receive Him and live with Him forever, or to reject Him and the love that He has demonstrated to us and spend eternity in Hell completely separated from Him forever. He loved us so much that He gave us a choice, but he desires that we choose Him.

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth (demonstrated) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The greatest Christmas gift we could ever receive is to accept Him as our personal Savior and view life through Heaven’s eyes.
