Jesus It Is You – Creator

Have you ever taken the time to recognize Jesus in all areas of your life? Beware, when you try to do this in one sitting it will become overwhelming and impossible. So much of the time when you mention the name, Jesus, people think of the cross or the baby in a manger. They think of the cross where He paid the price for our salvation. They think of the baby because the purpose of the baby coming to earth was to live as we live and die. He left the perfection of Heaven to enter earth, to do for us what we could not do. He would pay a debt we owed, but could not pay. Yet, as the Son of God, He exhibited great purpose long before He came to earth. Each part of the Trinity is God, but each one has specific roles and they all work together. They never contradict each other but work in perfect harmony. How often do you think about Him as the creator of everything? In Genesis 1:26, God said, Let “us” make man in “our” image. Creation has always been a miraculous act by God, but according to other passages, it was God the Son who took on the role as the mediator of creation.

Genesis 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”

In John 1:1-3, He is given the name Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. In verse 3, we are told all things were and are made by Him. In Colossians 1:16, we see it proclaimed that everything in Heaven and earth was created by Him. Nothing, no powers, thrones, or principalities were created without His touch. They were by Him and for Him.

John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

Colossians 1:16 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”

This Godhead Jesus was in the world and the world knew Him not. He came to save the world He created, but He was rejected by His own people. Those He created and led through the wilderness, fought, and won battles for, and those He would forgive if they would believe denied He was the Messiah. In the Old Testament, they were looking forward to the Messiah, but they were still saved by faith. Now, we look back at what He has done, and by faith, we acknowledge Him as God the Son, our creator, and our Savior.

John 1:10-11 “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.”

Yes, Jesus, it is you! The One who hung the stars in the sky. The one who created all the animals to live in harmony before mankind messed it up by sinning. The one who wanted someone to have communion with and someone to bring glory to the Father. Jesus was the mediator of creation. He did always what pleased the Father. He created us in His own image for Himself and redeemed us back to the Father. God the Father was the direct agent of creation but Jesus was the mediator, and God the Holy Spirit was the activating agent.

Hebrews 1:1-3 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”

Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handywork.”
